Confidentiality
Confidentiality is a key part of our counselling relationship. Anything you share during our sessions is treated with respect and kept private. I make sure all the information you provide stays safe and secure, and I only share it in certain situations. I will never share what we discuss with anyone without your permission. All records are kept safe and only I can access them, I regularly check and follow the latest rules on protecting personal information to make sure your privacy is always respected and the trust in our relationship is maintained.
Supervision & CPD
I regularly meet with a trained supervisor to discuss my work, reflect on my practice, and improve my skills. This helps me stay effective and ethical while keeping your information private. The world is always changing, and every client is different.
I am dedicated to learning and growing by attending workshops, seminars, and training. This helps me stay up to date with the latest research and techniques in counselling.
Safeguarding
I protect my clients by keeping their information private, maintaining professional boundaries, and following ethical rules to create a safe and supportive space that puts your well-being first. However, if there is a serious risk of harm to you or others, or if there is a disclosure of terrorism, drug trafficking, or child abuse, I may have to break confidentiality as required by law.
If this happens, I will only share the necessary information and will do my best to talk to you about it first. This helps keep you and others safe.
Data Protection and GDPR Compliance
Your privacy and confidentiality are of the utmost importance. This practice fully complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Any personal information you share either through this website, email, or in sessions-will be kept secure and confidential,
Your personal data will only be used for purposes directly related to your counselling, such as scheduling sessions or maintaining brief case notes.
Your data will never be shared with third parties unless required by law (e.g. serious risk to yourself or others).
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your data at any time.

This counselling practice is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and Inclusive space for everyone, regardless of age, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, religion, or belief.
Discrimination, harassment, or victimisation of any kind will not be tolerated.
Counselling is offered with sensitivity to Individual needs, including making reasonable adjustments for accessibility where required
All clients will be treated with dignity, fairness, and respect in line with the Equality Act 2010.
Cancellation and Missed Appointment Policy
Appointments must be cancelled with at least 24 hours' notice. This allows time to offer the session slot to someone else in need.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged at the full session rate.
In the event of unforeseen emergencies, please contact me as soon as possible to discuss options.
If you arrive late, the session will still end at the scheduled time, and the full fee will apply.
Repeated missed or cancelled sessions may lead to a review of ongoing therapy arrangements.
